# Find News

Find News is the fastest way to understand what happened in a local government meeting while keeping the original video close at hand.

The basic rhythm is:

1. [Find a meeting](/find-news/find-a-meeting.md).
2. [Review its agenda items, moments, and video](/find-news/review-a-meeting.md).
3. [Search or download the transcript](/find-news/transcripts.md).
4. Verify anything you plan to quote or share against the recording.
5. If a moment should reach a wider audience, add it to your highlights, then use [Create Video Highlights](/create-video-highlights.md) to shape it into a video you can share.

SeeGov's notes, detected votes, speaker names, and generated text are reporting aids. They make a long meeting navigable; they do not replace your editorial judgment or the source recording.
