# Find a meeting

1. Open **Backstage → Meetings**.
2. In **Find Meetings**, enter a government or body name in **Search**.
3. Choose the matching suggestion when one appears, then choose **Search**.
4. Optionally open **Filter by Your Governments** to include only selected governments.
5. Use the **Meeting Date**, **Government Body**, and **Video Title** columns to identify the right result.
6. Open the meeting. It opens in a new tab so you do not lose the current result list.

## Search tips

* Search by the government name, such as a city or county, or by the body name, such as a planning commission.
* Use the state abbreviation to distinguish places with the same name.
* A source may use an imperfect or generic title. Compare the date, government body, original video title, and available source information.
* If you do not see a newly held meeting, SeeGov may still be collecting or processing it. Try again later or check [Troubleshooting](/guidance/troubleshooting.md).
