# Using Backstage

These controls and account-level choices apply across Backstage, whether you are finding news or creating video highlights.

Select **Backstage** to open Meetings. Use the **Meetings** tab to browse or search, or **Upload Recording** to contribute a community recording. On desktop, the same workflow header leads from Meetings into Find and the creation steps after you open a meeting.

Once you have completed your creator profile, open the profile menu in the upper-right corner and choose **Your Highlights** to visit your public creator profile. If you have Backstage access and have not completed that setup, the same menu offers **Become a Creator**. **Profile** remains the place to edit your account details.

Open **Help** beside **Updates** for a guide to the screen you are using, **Browse all help**, **Keyboard shortcuts**, or **Troubleshooting**. The screen-specific guide changes as you move through the workflow. Guides open in a new tab; close that tab to return to your work. Help remains available on narrow screens without opening the navigation menu.

* Use [keyboard shortcuts](/using-backstage/keyboard-shortcuts.md) to review meetings more quickly.
* [Adjust the workspace layout](/using-backstage/workspace-layout.md) for a more comfortable desktop review session.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.seegov.org/using-backstage.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
